Ministry Happenings

Thanks again for writing and mailing the letter to us from BWM so that we could get our visas renewed. The Lord truly blessed and the Border Guard renewed our Visitor Record Permits (visas) for five years, instead of three, like he did last time. As we were approaching the Border Office, I prayed, "Lord, will you please let the same kind and gracious man, that dealt with us three years ago, be there to deal with us this time!" Guess who dealt with us? You guessed it - the same kind and gracious man was there to help us again this time. Praise God! How Wonderful is our God!!!!!!!!

I don't even know where to begin.  I guess I'll start with this...To God be the glory, great things He has done!!!!!!!!!  Today's lesson was totally AWESOME.  The actual lesson/translation time went really well.  Things flowed very nicely, and the students did a great job.  I was even able to take away a few tips, as well, about translating for someone.  Okay, so there were seven adults....I would say in their late 40s and above (six women and one man).  They all took turns translating, which was about an hour.  The next hour was a Q and A time.  The questions ranged from the "different names for Christ" to "what has made the biggest impact on your life?"  Totally open door to talk about how I accepted Christ as my Savior.  We talked about Christ on the cross, to all the way back to Abraham.  I was able to share with them how much God has done for me, about all the promises He has in the Bible, and so much more.  I can't tell you how totally awesome it was.  I thanked them several times for being so willing to listen to what I had to say.  This is what the teacher said at the end (in front of all the students), "I can't say I believe the Bible, but I can see you have such peace and that you walk very close to your God."  Just as she said that last part, I said, "He walks close to me," and you should have heard everyone say, "Wow!"  It was totally cool the way the Lord directed every aspect of the class.  Some students were very kind and listened politely, and I think others were very moved.  I can say the seed was planted!  Also, the man in the class really did his homework and studied out the ancestry of Christ...he even had an outline!!!!  Anyway, thank you all soooooo much for your prayers.  ~Bekah
