It is said of Abraham that he was known of God and that Abraham was one to “command his children and his household after him.” The verse went on to say that his household will “keep the way of the Lord.” (Gen 18:19) What a remarkable statement about the consistent walk of one of God’s servants. Through the direction of Abraham it was insured that his household would “keep the way of the Lord.” Can it be said of you that through your leadership others “keep the way of the Lord?” How have you influenced someone today to do what is right and good, pleasing to God? May we all learn to command our children and household after us.
