Some twenty years ago, we began observing, asking questions about, and evaluating different mission agencies while we were still attending Bible college and preparing to serve the Lord as missionaries in Puerto Rico. Our criteria for a mission agency were simple. First, we were looking for a doctrinally sound agency that had been historically faithful to God’s Word in the past and was unashamedly committed to maintain its doctrinal position in the future. Second, we knew that we would need a mission agency that truly had an interest in practically serving the missionaries serving Lord around the world. We were pleased to find through our inquires that BWM fulfilled both of these criteria. Now, years later, we are so very glad to say that BWM is still fulfilling our expectations. What a blessing it was to visit with BWM during its Orientation Week at Camp Joy while we were on furlough and hear the same sound Biblical instruction and practical help we received during our orientation years ago. Another blessing has been to receive personal emails from staff members asking how they could better pray for our health, personal, and ministry needs. We thank God for leading us to work with BWM and look forward to many more years to come.

Missionary Thoughts …
I transferred to Baptist World Mission in 2010 on the recommendation of my home church. Dr. Canedy was very helpful with the application process. His kind note on the death of my mother, before I even interviewed with the board, told me much about their concern for their missionaries. I greatly appreciated the support from the home office staff as I learned new procedures. Rev. Garza, my field representative, has been a constant source of encouragement. The financial department works hard to keep the missionaries up to date with IRS regulations. It is great to have updated reports on support during the month. Group health insurance is a blessing. Baptist World Mission has been a good partner with me in ministry for our Lord Jesus Christ.
Dr. Anne LivingstonBWM Missionary to Haiti
I am so thankful for the encouragement and guidance of Dr. Parker as to a mission board. I was appointed in Atlantic City and I am so thankful for the founding of BWM. I value greatly the patience shown to me in my errors and often times slowness in understanding changes . Those who minister in the office as well as the field representatives are true loving servants of the Lord. I have always felt at liberty to express my opinion, even though I might not be in agreement concerning an issue on the field. I value so much the example of the Godly men and women and for their counsel and guidance and encouragement to me. When I get a note or call that ends with the words; “we love you and pray for you;¨I know they are not just words and I believe what they say. BWM is not just a mission board with a true concern to be faithful in caring about the lost and fulfilling of the Great Commission but a mission board with a love and concern for those who believe God has directed them to BWM. In these days of so many changes, I am thankful for a mission board that remains true to the Word.
