When I return to Kenya, I will be planting churches alongside Kenyan nationals in the coastal region, especially Lamu, but also in other towns along the Indian Ocean. I will work closely with the administration, faculty, and students at my alma mater, Independent Baptist College of Ministry, Kenya, in training others to fulfill the Great Commission.
The country of Kenya has about 55 million people. About 3.5 million of these live in the metro region of Mombasa, Kenya's main coastal city. The two national languages are English and Swahili, and most of the people speak a third tribal language. Although the central regions of Kenya are largely Christian (nominal and evangelical), the coastal area is predominantly Muslim.
