We are Ben and Andrea Hamilton, missionary church-planters to the Bronx in New York City. We have five children–Elaine, Nolan, Liberty, Nehemiah and Henry. We have been a part of Baptist World Mission since October 2013. Our goal is to establish an independent Baptist church in the Kingsbridge neighborhood of the Bronx. We have the opportunity to reach all nations of the world from one location. Our desire is to reach foreign cultures by seeing souls saved in NYC and then encouraging them to return to their native country with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You can find out more information about our family and ministry at www.modernnineveh.com. We also have a goal to have a self-supporting, indigenous church in that neighborhood within five years of initially getting started. We desire to minister on the college campuses nearby and to the largely Hispanic population of the Bronx through a Spanish-speaking ministry at our church.

Field Info
New York City is an ideal mission field because all nations of the world are represented in one location. It is estimated that there are over 800 languages spoken by 8.3 million people within her borders. The Bronx is one of five boroughs which comprise New York City. It is really a city within a city, boasting a population of 1.4 million people. The Bronx is largely Hispanic, with 53% of the population being Spanish-speaking. 78% of the Bronx people claim to be Catholic. We have been called to tell them the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ – salvation by grace through faith!
