We have had many changes recently. Our church has relocated, the name changed to Faith Baptist Church, the national pastor resigned, and Dan was voted to be the missionary pastor. We are still involved in language studies and basic church ministries.
The South Korean culture has been changing over the past few decades. Incomes are higher and modern conveniences are highly sought after. The most difficult aspect of their culture is business. They call it "balli" ("hurry") culture. As a result, it is difficult to have church members who are free to help with weekday outreaches. Also, the children are busy most nights with after-school tutoring centers. We are battling shamanism, Buddhism, and the prosperity gospel.
