Calvary Baptist Church of Daegu, South Korea, is an international ministry. Originally started as a church primarily to the soldiers stationed at Camp Walker, it has expanded to minister to the Korean community in which we live as well as the international community that is here for business or education. Our desire is to see others come to Christ and to see Christians grow in their relationship with God. We see the church as the local gathering of God’s family and endeavor to create a sense of home and belonging for those who live and work in the southern district of Daegu.

Country Info
The southern district of Daegu is somewhat of an international community. Calvary Baptist Church is located near 2 active US Army bases and several universities that draw students from other countries. As such we are called to minister to multiple cultures. In our community, we have, of course, Koreans and Americans, but also representatives from the Philippines and several African countries. The fast-paced culture of the bigger city is common, and with the cost of living very high, many people work 6 days a week making mid-week ministries difficult.
