We are church planting in the northernmost province of the Dominican Republic. Puerto Plata is the 3rd largest city in the Dominican Republic and is a bustling city with two cruise ports. We moved there in the summer of 2018. We have served in many ministry capacities, such as preaching, youth ministry, ladies’ outreach, evangelistic and discipleship Bible studies, and music ministry. We are excited about our second term to continue in all these ministries while focusing on training Christian workers and leaders from the Dominicans.

Country Info
The island of Hispaniola is home to the Dominican Republic and was the heart of the New World when Cristopher Columbus landed there in December 1492. The Dominican Republic is a mere 500 miles from the United States, at the intersection of the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. The Dominican is home to lovely people, an exciting history, and many lovely landscapes. The Dominican seems to be going through a religious revolution over the last couple of decades, and the percentage of professing Roman Catholics has been cut nearly in half. The Dominican people primarily have a zeal for God but not according to knowledge. The Gospel is still needed, and solid churches can provide an anchor against the many winds of doctrine in the Dominican Republic. There is much work to do to help Dominicans submit to the simplicity of the Gospel and establish sound believers and churches that can carry that work on for generations to come.
