God has called my wife and me to plant churches in Hungary. Ramona is from Hungary, the oldest daughter of Pastor Gedeon Oláh, who is a national church planter in Hungary. With her already knowing the language and the culture we will have an advantage in reaching Hungarian people. We are burdened to train national leaders to reach their own country and the surrounding countries in central Europe.

Hungary became a free country in 1989. Before this, they were under the rule of communism. About 45% of Hungarian people claim to be either atheist, agnostic, or unaffiliated with any form of religion. 37% claim to be Catholic, but that number has decreased from around 50% not long ago. We believe that people are seeking for something real. Hungary has an unfortunate dark history and people struggle to have hope. With only a handful of independent Baptist churches people totaling under 200 members for 10,000,000 people, there is a great need. We believe the gospel is the power of God unto salvation and that many will turn to Christ when they hear the truth. Our prayer is that God will do a mighty work in Hungary and the surrounding countries!
