We are excited about the growth we are seeing at our church. We are now averaging 40 people on Sunday morning and for several weeks have had over 20 people on Sunday nights. We are seeing great spiritual growth in our people as well. Most of our people are involved in some kind of ministry at the church.
Uruguay is the most secular nation in all of South America. With complete separation between church and state, hope is ultimately placed in the secular sciences and self for determining meaning and purpose. The people are generally friendly and love to socialize over "mate," a kind of bitter green tea.
