Micoud Baptist Church Plant, St Lucia

Micoud Baptist Church Plant, St Lucia

After serving in Saint Lucia for one year with a fellow missionary, the Lord has led the Greg Little family to the village of Micoud to begin the work of planting a New Testament church there. Micoud is a small village on the Eastern side of the Island with a population of 3,000 people but quickly rises to over 17,000 with the nearby surrounding communities. The Lord has already given the Little’s fruit in this village and they have planned our first Sunday for April 1st, 2018 – Easter Sunday.

The Little’s are currently seeking to raise just over twenty three thousand dollars to assist them in beginning this work in Micoud. The needs for this are as follows:

John and Romans x 2,500……………………………1,000.00 (completed)
3×5 Invitation Cards x 5,000……………………………200.00 (completed)
Folding Chairs x 60……………………………………2,200.00
Keyboard / Sound Equipment………………………..1,000.00
Advertising / Church Sign……………………….………250.00 (completed)
Furniture / Children’s Table and Chairs etc…….……..850.00
Shipping / Duty Costs…………………………………1,000.00
Building Supplies (Renovations)……………………..2,000.00
Church Bus (15 Passenger Van)……………………15,000.00

The Little’s write: “The immediate needs total just over $8,500, with the $15,000.00 for a church van being our goal over the next few months. Would you consider what part you might have in beginning this great work in the village of Micoud? There is excitement already in the village for the start of this church. In fact, just a day ago I was driving through the village when I saw a crowd of people pointing at me and talking in Creole. As I passed by I heard the words, “above Ninnies bookstore,” referring to the place where the church building is located. We are praying for God to do a mighty work for His name’s sake in this village. Thank you for your support of us and the work that continues here in Saint Lucia.”
